What is Timed Finishing?
Timed finishing is a risk-and-reward mechanic that can give a boost to your shots in terms of accuracy, speed, and power. After holding down the shoot button to determine your power, you will need to time a second press just before the player strikes the ball. Do it properly, and you can reap the benefits, spam the button, however, and your perfect chance may just lead to a weak shot that is easily saved.
Turning Off Timed Finishing in FIFA 23
To turn off timed finishing, all you will have to do is head to the main menu screen in FIFA 23, where you can access all the different modes and options. From here, head into the Customize tab, where you can tweak all the settings. Once inside, choose the Settings option, then Customize Controls, and scroll down. Eventually, you will find the row where the timed finishing option is. You can then choose to either toggle it on or off.
