Developed by Omega Force and Koei Tecmo, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes serves as a retelling of the story in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This time around, we get a new playable character, but we’ll still get to interact with our favorite characters from the original game. While the style of combat is drastically different, there are a few other familiar systems that remain intact.
Series fans will know that there’s usually some sort of hidden difficulty mode to unlock after beating a Fire Emblem game, and the same holds true for Three Hopes.
Unlocking Maddening Difficulty in Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes
In order to unlock the secret Maddening difficulty mode in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, all you have to do is beat the game at least once. It doesn’t matter which difficulty you beat it on, which ending you got, or if you picked Classic or Casual mode. As long as you reach the end credits, you’ll get a prompt informing you that you’ve unlocked Maddening difficulty. When you start up a new game (or new game plus), you’ll be able to choose Maddening from the difficulty selection screen. However, do be warned that this will give you a very intense challenge from start to finish. Enemies will hit a lot harder, and they’ll also be much more difficult to kill. It’ll be more manageable on new game plus, but starting a fresh file on this mode may not be the wisest thing to do. That’s all you need to know about how to unlock Maddening difficulty in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
