How to Change Your Appearance in Stardew Valley
In order to change up your character’s appearance, you’ll need to gain the friendship of the Wizard. He resides to the southwest of the area where Marnie’s Ranch is located, south of your farm. In order to meet him, you’ll need to have already encountered the golden scroll in the Community Center cutscene during one of your first days in Pelican Town. Once you do, it’s only a matter of getting him to like you and raising your friendship with him to four hearts. Check out our in-depth guide on friendships in if you need help with that! Once you have a four heart friendship with the Wizard in Stardew Valley, you’ll gain access to the basement. Therein lies the Shrine of Illusions where you need to go to change your appearance. It’ll cost you 500 coins every time you want to change something, by the way.
Sewing Machine & Tailoring
Another way to change your look while also keeping good stats on your equipment is to use the sewing machine and tailor your clothes. What the sowing machine and tailor system do in Stardew Valley is allow you to transfer stats from one piece of clothing to another, so that way you don’t have to wear something ugly just because you like the stats on them. To use the sewing machine and tailor your clothes to change your appearance up, you simply need to visit Emily and Hailey’s house after you’ve acquired Cloth for the first time and you’ll be able to use the machine in their house. If you complete the Story Board quest, Rock Rejuvenation, you’ll receive your own sewing machine as a reward and you won’t need to visit Emily and Hailey’s house anymore. That’s all you need to know about if you can change clothes in Stardew Valley and how to change your appearance. If you need any other Stardew Valley help, check out our wiki!
