What is the Fourth Wall in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Just like in any of those shows or movies mentioned above, the fourth wall in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the invisible wall between the characters and the audience. This term has its origins in the theater where the actors on stage are literally enclosed in the three walls of the set and there’s an imaginary fourth wall leading out to the audience. In She-Hulk, Jennifer Walters occasionally breaks the fourth wall by speaking directly to the audience. Typically, these direct addresses to the people watching is not noticed by others, but it seems like Bruce Banner noticed at least one time that Jen turned to the camera.
Why Does Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk Talk to the Camera?
As of right now, it seems like Jen’s role while breaking the fourth wall in She-Hulk is simply as a narrator. It’s unclear if she’s talking to the audience or maybe even to the Hulk version of herself that Banner alluded to being inside of her mind. That’s all we currently know about what is the fourth wall in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. As more details are revealed throughout the episodes of the show we’ll be sure to update the content above.
